New Laser on its way for Christmas
1st November 2006

Its new TLF4050 is the latest generation laser from TRUMPF whose high performance coupled with a fast power control allows the L4050 to cut both thin sheet and thick plate up to 25mm with an average of 20% increase in cutting speed across the range of materials.

The L4050 comes with an automatic fully-automated lift master, enabling loading and unloading of the machine parallel to production time.

As Assistant Manager, David Caraher, confirms, the TRUMPF L4050 came through with flying colours and was by far the most versatile of the machines the company looked at.

"We were left in no doubt that the TRUMPF L4050 machine would be the best solution for us. It has the proven reliability and process capability to contribute to our existing business, whilst expanding the range and thickness of materials cut."

"TRUMPF proved that the L4050 could repeatedly and consistently perform at the extreme of operating parameters, whilst giving the added benefits of improved speed. In addition, the on-line diagnostics and guaranteed service support are of great importance to our business where any lost time would have a major impact. We see this as the first step in our new five-year plan and believe that continued investment in flat sheet processing was the correct decision for us to take says David."

The new machine is expected to be installed in December and ready for action for the new year.

Silver Medal Winner Announced
15th December 2005

The winners of the Silver Medal Awards were announced on Thursday at the 20th Royal Ulster Winter Fair. McAree Engineering Works Ltd won the Silver Medal for their V-Mac split Silos for filling feeder wagons.

The V-Mac split Silos for filling feeder wagons, manufactured by McAree Engineering Works Ltd, Co Monaghan is a split Silo divided to give two separate compartments. Not only does it reduce labour costs but its more convenient as no steelwork or crane is required on site.

An absolutely delighted Eamon McMeel of McAree Engineering said, "This is the first competition that we've ever entered and I got the shock of my life when I found out we'd won the Silver Medal Award. We decided to enter the V-Mac Silo into the competition as it was a new product within our range and we felt it was also very innovative and would be a worthy winner."

The judges were impressed by the V-Mac's overall construction quality, ease of use and the satisfaction of users and further commented, "The clever design facilitates ease of transport to the site and rapid installation while providing the necessary height and leg spacing for safe loading of feeder wagons."
