Our New Wood Pellet Silo
10/05/2007

With the price of oil increasing and the huge costs of living in Ireland Mc Aree Engineering have seen an opening in the market for insulated Wood Pellet Silos. The systems that are currently on the Irish market have been imported. However these systems do not suit the moist Irish environment and the wood pellets loose their efficiencies as a result. Bagged pellets can be quite expensive so the only way for a burner to be economical is to buy the pellets in bulk. Our domestic storage systems are capable of holding 3 ½ or 4 ½ tones of wood pellets which is more than enough to fuel a typical household for its heating season.

McAree Engineering announce new innovation in Meal Bin technology.
11th February 2007

McAree Engineering are delighted to announce that they have developed a new “Flip Top” V-Mac Silo design which will be formally launched at the National Ploughing  Championships on the 25th September.

A new addition to their award winning V-Mac silo range, this new design will allow farmers to mix animal feed to their own requirements in a diet feeder and easily store it in the McAree Flip Top Meal Bin.  The feed can then be distributed through an Auger discharge or meal barrow.

Meal Silos have been highlighted as a major aid to time pressed farmers in facilitating animal husbandry, especially for part time farmers, where animal meal can be easily stored and distributed.  The use of bulk feeds also reduces costs in eliminating bagged purchase and handling.

Commenting, Brendan McAree,  Managing Director, McAree Engineering, said “ We are delighted to bring this new innovation in animal feed storage to the market.  This new V-Mac Silo design will enable farmers to store and distribute customised feed mix in a convenient and efficient manner.”

"We are continually striving to bring new innovations to Meal Bin design to improve help improve farmer productivity" he added.

To celebrate the launch of the new "Flip Top" V-Mac Silo, McAree Engineering are giving everyone who visits their stand at the National Ploughing Championship the chance to win a V-Mac Silo.

About McAree Engineering:  McAree Engineering was founded in 1947 by Vincent McAree at Ballinode, Co. Monaghan to repair and manufacture agricultural implements.  In 1969 they moved into the more specialised area of sheet metal. The V-mac silo was introduced and since then has become the market leader in Ireland.

Currently, McAree Engineering employ 65 people across 2 state of the art fabrication plants in north Monaghan, serving the agricultural and metal component sectors.

New Laser on its way for Christmas
1st November 2006

Its new TLF4050 is the latest generation laser from TRUMPF whose high performance coupled with a fast power control allows the L4050 to cut both thin sheet and thick plate up to 25mm with an average of 20% increase in cutting speed across the range of materials.

The L4050 comes with an automatic fully-automated lift master, enabling loading and unloading of the machine parallel to production time.

As Assistant Manager, David Caraher, confirms, the TRUMPF L4050 came through with flying colours and was by far the most versatile of the machines the company looked at.

"We were left in no doubt that the TRUMPF L4050 machine would be the best solution for us. It has the proven reliability and process capability to contribute to our existing business, whilst expanding the range and thickness of materials cut."

"TRUMPF proved that the L4050 could repeatedly and consistently perform at the extreme of operating parameters, whilst giving the added benefits of improved speed. In addition, the on-line diagnostics and guaranteed service support are of great importance to our business where any lost time would have a major impact. We see this as the first step in our new five-year plan and believe that continued investment in flat sheet processing was the correct decision for us to take says David."

The new machine is expected to be installed in December and ready for action for the new year.
