Mc Aree Engineering announce new innovation in Meal Silo technology.

McAree Engineering are delighted to announce that they have developed a new “Flip Top” V-Mac Silo design which will be formally launched at the National Ploughing  Championships on the 25th September.

Commenting, Brendan McAree, Managing Director, McAree Engineering, said “We are delighted to bring this new innovation in animal feed storage to the market.  This new V-Mac Silo design will enable farmers to store and distribute customised feed mix in a convenient and efficient manner.”

This patented, new design allows farmers to mix their own animal feed and store it in the McAree Flip Top V-Mac Silo.  Feed can then be distributed into a meal barrow for manual feeding or into automated auger systems (flexi or rigid)

1. Patented Flip top lid design allows for the bin to be easily filled by loader, telehandler etc.  It can also be filled conveniently by bulk delivery via a blow pipe.

2. The lid is easy opened and closed from ground level using crank type handle and has a seal fitted so feed is kept fresh and dry.   

3. A Capacity of 3.5 tonnes provides significant storage capacity for weekly mixes.

4. Constructed using galvanised steel – allows for easy cleaning and ensures no feed sticks to the inside.

5. A single phase 1hp motor with reduction gearbox drives an  internal auger which discharges feed to an outlet unit.  All electrics are CE approved.  All that’s required is a 3.2m by 1.5m base and a power supply.
